Halil Tekiner, Ph.D.
Halil Tekiner, born to pharmacist parents on June 14, 1983 in Kayseri, Turkey, holds a B.S. in pharmacy as well as an M.S. and Ph.D. in the history of pharmacy and pharmacy management, all from Ankara University. With an abiding commitment to the academic and historical aspects of pharmacy, he has conducted post-graduate research at various institutions including Helsinki University, Finland; Philipps University in Marburg, Germany; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA; Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, and elsewhere. Tekiner is currently an assistant professor in the Department of the History of Medicine and Ethics at Erciyes University Institute for the History of Medicine as well as in the Department of the History of Pharmacy at the Erciyes University Faculty of Pharmacy.
