Please join us for the third session of the Borders in Modern Asia Seminar Series. Zayad Bangash, PhD Candidate in History, George Washington University, will workshop his paper, "From Martial Race Mercenaries to Defenders of the Nation," a history of the peoples of the North-west Frontier of British India, 1930-60.

The commentators are Professor Thomas Barfield, Professor of Anthropology at Boston University, and Saira B. Orakzai, Fellow at Alwaleed Islamic Studies Program and NELC at Harvard University.

The seminar will be in William James Hall 450 on Wednesday, November 15, 4-6 pm. A light dinner will be served, and you are free to hang out and chat till 7 pm. Please note that the date and place has changed since our previous announcement.
