The Program on Constitutional Government (PCG) is pleased to present a seminar talk with Jill Lepore, "Re-reading Federalist No. 1."

Lepore writes about American history, law, literature, and politics. She is the author of many award-winning books and is currently writing a history of the United States. Jill Lepore: “The United States, Hamilton argued, was an experiment designed ‘to decide the important question, whether societies of men are really capable or not of establishing good government from reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on accident and force.’ Has the course of American history provided an answer to that question?”

The Program on Constitutional Government at Harvard University is directed by Harvey Mansfield. PCG Seminar talks are open to the public but RSVP is required. RSVP to pcg@gov.harvard.edu
