CAS: African Studies Workshop Featuring Elizaveta Fouksman

lizaveta Fouksman received her doctorate in International Development from the University of Oxford in 2015, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. For the 2017-18 academic year, Liz is a Berggruen Fellow at Harvard University’s Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. She will present Universalizing social protection and the moral imperative of labor: Support and resistance from Southern Africa.

A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop.  After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chairs.
