 Lowell Brower is a PhD candidate in the Department of African & African American Studies at Harvard University. He will present *Once Upon a Time' in the Land of 'Never Again': Oral Literature in Post-Genocide Rwanda.*

 A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the [Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv](https://lists.fas.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/africanstudiesworkshop-list). It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop. After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chairs.
