Conference: Money as a Democratic Medium

This conference regards money as a public project. It brings scholars, journalists, and policymakers into conversation about how to realize its democratic possibilities, past and present. Topics that will be covered include economic development, financialization and inequality, assault gun sales, postal banking, a federal job guarantee, and monetary politics.

 

The conference is geared toward scholars and students, at both graduate and undergraduate levels. No background in economics or finance is required.

 

This conference is free, but we ask that you register so we can anticipate attendance. Food will be provided.
