Geared toward educators but open to all, this online session will feature remarks from the novel's author Anthony Marra, as well as Nieman Fellow Irina Gordienko, a veteran Russian journalist who has reported extensively from the book's setting of wartime Chechnya.This discussion is the first session in the Global Literature Online Book Group for Educators series, a program of [Global Studies Outreach at Harvard](http://globalstudiesoutreach.harvard.edu). It will take place in an AdobeConnect online classroom, accessible via any computer with an Internet connection and microphone.
