Dr. Brunson is Assistant Professor at Morgan State University. Her research interests include race, gender, and nation formation in Latin America and the African Diaspora; 19th and 20th-century Cuba; history of visual and material culture. Dr. Brunson received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Spelman College.
