Speaker: Dr. Eduardo Torres Cuevas, Director of Cuba’s National Library José Martí

Dr. Eduardo Torres Cuevas is the Director of Cuba’s National Library José Martí. He is also a prolific historian and dedicated professor. Dr. Torres Cuevas is the President of the Casa de Altos Estudios Don Fernando Ortiz; Director of the magazine Debates Americanos and of Imagen Contemporánea Press. He is a member of the Comisión Nacional de Grados Científicos de la República de Cuba, of the Tribunal Nacional de Historia and of the Instituto de Historia de Cuba, among other important Cuban cultural institutions.
