From land restitution to the role of victims’ voices in reconciliation, Colombia’s ongoing peace process has its parallels in largely forgotten events that transpired more than a half-century ago. This talk examines what Colombian history can – and cannot – tell us about the shape of Colombia’s contemporary conflict and the prospects for a stable and durable peace.
