Each January the History Department organizes the "Harvard History Dissertation Prospectus Conference." This year, the conference is on **Friday, January 26, 2018.** At the conference, third-year history graduate students and graduate students in the affiliated departments of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, History and East Asian Languages, and History and Middle Eastern Studies will present their dissertation topics. Students receive suggestions and criticism from their peers and faculty members. Each student will speak for fifteen minutes, followed by fifteen minutes of questions and comments for discussion. The conference runs throughout the day, beginning at 9:00 am. Two morning sessions of concurrent panels will be followed by a lunch at 1:15 pm. One afternoon session of concurrent panels will begin at 2:00 pm.
