[Join the book club](http://www.thehistorylist.com/events/history-book-club-newton-massachusetts) in reading and discussing Erik Larson's new book Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. The author considers the sinking of the opulent Lusitania in the context of the global conflict of World War I. He tells the fascinating story of the forces, large and small, natural and man-made, coincidental and intentional, that propelled the Lusitania to its fatal rendezvous.
