New Histories of Class: A Workshop - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

On behalf of Prof. Penny Russell and the Harvard Australian Studies Committee, we wish to invite you to the workshop "New Histories of Class," to be held on Friday and Saturday, April 21–22 in the Lower Library, Robinson Hall. 

The workshop will consist of a series of roundtables, each starting with four or five short presentations by leading academics in the field, followed by lengthy periods for discussion. Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. Roundtable discussion topics will include:

  • Class and Global Capitalism
  • Has the "White Working Class" Really Been Forgotten?
  • Empathetic Histories of Class 
  • Rethinking Class through Intersectional Histories
  • Digital Histories: New Sources, New Audiences
  • Historians and Society
