The Peabody Essex Museum will be hosting a public study day entitled *Consuming Luxury: Asia in Amsterdam*, on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9:30 am - 6 pm. This event, held in conjunction with PEM's current *[Asia in Amsterdam: The Culture of Luxury in the Golden Age](https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__pem.org_exhibitions_187-2Dasia-5Fin-5Famsterdam-5Fthe-5Fculture-5Fof-5Fluxury-5Fin-5Fthe-5Fgolden-5Fage&d=CwMFaQ&c=WO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ&r=XvykKlJOEz0ueqfuAxlojtsSooSmqLuGho0H034msOA&m=6KHxfqre2TiAu02lsi-4OzR37lRpMfSEYS47YCJbN88&s=G0mXDM4usdJE8a0kFc8MKI6AlvfRb6I8ZHZa4_TeqXA&e=)* exhibition, will explore Amsterdam's unique position as a link between Asia and Europe, and will consider the influence of luxury imports from Asia on a broad range of subjects, from painting, textiles and interiors, to food and ideas.Please see the invitation below as well as the attached flier.
