 **[Sahar Bazzaz](http://bit.ly/RJ9250)** is Associate Professor in the Department of History at the College of the Holy Cross. She is the author of *Forgotten Saints: History, Power and Politics in the Making of Modern Morocco* (HUP, 2010) and coeditor of *Imperial Geographies in Byzantine and Ottoman Space* (HUP, 2013). Her works focuses on Middle Eastern, Northern African, Islamic and Imperial Encounters.
