The Case of Fatimid Egypt</em><em>”</em></p><p>	Lorenzo Bondioli is a social and economic historian of the premodern Middle East working on the longue durée history of capital accumulation in noncapitalist societies. His research investigates the political economy of Islamic empires, focusing on the Fatimid Caliphate (909-1171 CE).
