SUMMARY:Palestine and the Historian: A History Department Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for three panels titled: “Borders, Apartheid, and Carcerality,” “Insurgency, Protest and a Global Palestine” and “Narrative, Memory and the Place of the Scholar.” The goal of this event is to critically engage with ongoing history-making in the region and initiate a community conversation on our role as historians therein. As such, we are excited to host diverse thematic and geographic panelists across faculty and graduate students as they bring their expertise to bear on Israel/Palestine in order to challenge the “Palestine exception” through connective, comparative inquiry.

Please note that this event is limited to the Harvard Community. Please bring your ID card for entry.

Lunch and coffee will be provided.

To register, please click here.
