In partnership with other international studies centers across the university, the Davis Center will be offering a four-day intensive summer workshop on the use of digital media and mapping resources in the classroom. Geared toward secondary educators in the humanities and social sciences but open to those in all subjects, the workshop will feature training in tools for data visualization, map creation, map annotation, and map-based storytelling; a guided look into available online collections of maps and geographic data; as well as presentations by scholars and experts who are using these resources in their own regional studies work. Workshop participants will develop their own projects throughout the course of the week using these digital tools.

More information available at the Global Studies Outreach website.

Please Note: The deadline to apply for this workshop has passed. Educators who do not attend in person are invited to check the event website for recordings and other resources that will be publicly posted.

Sponsored by the Asia Center, Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Committee on African Studies, David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard Global Health Institute, and South Asia Institute.
