DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Aurora Sanfeliz</strong> and<strong> Niti Seth</strong> (Academic Counselors, Bureau of Study Counsel)</p><p>TFs encounter students who come from diverse language backgrounds; several may be bi or tri-lingual. This panel will explore the cognitive processes underlying bilingualism and the assets and challenges it creates for learning and communicating. Strategies for reading, writing, and public speaking/presentation in academic settings will be discussed as they relate to students’ experiences.</p><p><em>“Inclusive Teaching &amp; Diversity in the Classroom” is sponsored by the Bok Center and American Studies, with major funding from the Graduate School of Arts &amp; Sciences, and additional funding from African and African American Studies, Anthropology, History, Study of Religion, the Graduate Student Council, and the History Graduate Student Association</em></p>
