Adam Frost (HEAL)
Adam Frost is a PhD student in History and East Asian Languages who does research on the economic history of modern China. His work broadly explores the history of informal economies, from unlicensed taxi drivers in 1920's Shanghai, to illicit merchants in 1960’s Yiwu, to beggars in contemporary Xi'an. In his free time, Adam works on photography and documentary projects. Most recently he completed a documentary on the everyday lives of beggars in Northwest China entitled, The End of Bitterness.
