Juhee Kang’s interests lie in social and cultural history and the history of medicine. Her research fields include material culture, epidemics and disease, public health, the conceptions of the body and bodily practices, gender relations, and the production and representations of knowledge, particularly in the Japanese empire since the nineteenth century. She received her MA at Harvard and BA from Carleton College.
