Hey! I'm Liv, a senior history concentrator in Eliot House with a secondary in Art, Film, and Visual Studies. I'm interested in 20th century American political, intellectual, and cultural history, particularly in the context of the Cold War, decolonization, and social movements. I love history because it marries the (in my opinion!) best elements of humanities—telling stories, getting creative—with the best elements of the social sciences—rigorous research, direct applicability to the world around you. Also history is the closest you can get to an answer key for life, so why would you concentrate in anything else! Outside of academics, I DJ for Harvard's radio station WHRB, write for the Crimson's Magazine Fifteen Minutes, and serve on the Art Board of Harvard Advocate. If you're considering history (or you just want to hear someone talk your ear off about why history is great and everyone should do it), please reach out!
