Ryan Glasnovich (HEAL)
Ph.D. Candidate in HEAL/Japan
Ryan S. Glasnovich is a Ph.D. candidate in the History and East Asian Languages program. Ryan specializes in the history of Japan in the nineteenth century. His interests lie in issues of crime and social order, with a particular focus on the history of the Japanese police during the Tokugawa-Meiji transition. Ryan received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and will be spending the 2016-2017 academic year at Waseda University in Tokyo.
