Hello! A member of the class of 2019, I am a junior in Quincy House concentrating in History. Born and raised in New York City, I am particularly interested in causes of war, modern international history, and American foreign policy. Outside of academics, I write for the Harvard Political Review and Satire V, help organize Model UN conferences in India and China, and enjoy running. I found a home in the History Department after taking a class on the British Empire my freshman fall, and since then have taken a variety of courses in the department. To me, “history” is a disciplinary form of story telling, bringing international perspectives together, and critiquing/ reevaluating the grand narratives that dominate many of the social sciences. I love History—if you are even vaguely considering History as a concentration, reach out to me and I would be more than happy to talk to you about it!
