Ziqi Gong is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at Peking University and a visiting fellow in the Department of History at Harvard University. She received her B.A. in History from East China Normal University. Her research interests include American diplomatic history, Cold War history, and sports history. Her doctoral dissertation explores the interplay between international sports and the shifting dynamics of Cold War competition during the late Cold War period.
