[*Tempus: The Harvard College History Review*](https://www.tempustheharvardcollegehistoryreview.com/) is the Department's undergraduate journal. *Tempus* was founded by a pair of undergraduates in 1998 as a forum for undergraduates to publish original historical scholarship. *Tempus* also sponsors history events, and aims to promote an inclusive, academically rigorous undergraduate community within the Department. In the spring of 2009, *Tempus* became an online publication. After the COVID-19 pandemic, *Tempus* returned to publishing print copies, along with maintaining an online presence.

[Current issue of *Tempus*](https://www.tempustheharvardcollegehistoryreview.com/current-issue)

*Tempus* welcomes submissions of history essays from Harvard undergraduates in any concentration, year, and subject matter. Book reviews, interviews, art, and other non-traditional formats are welcomed! The editorial board reviews submissions on a rolling basis. Please note, however: While the editorial board does not wish to discourage submissions or promote an un-inclusive atmosphere, regrettably, due to limited space in the print journal, *Tempus* only accepts 2-3 seminar-length essays per semester. However, the journal welcomes shorter works; comp for the editorial, podcast, forum, and administrative boards is conducted semesterly on a completion basis.

To submit a paper or to learn more about the comp process, please email: <tempus.thchr@gmail.com>.
