Screening and discussion of “Race for the Double Helix” (BBC, 1987)

Women’s History Month is in March so please join us for a celebration of Rosalind Franklin, English chemist and X-Ray crystallographer, the unsung heroine of the science that helped reveal the structure of DNA. This documentary drama highlights the tension between different research labs as they strove to be the first to reveal its structure. There are many feminist layers to this story so please join us in this wonderful Harvard space – the Carpenter Center. Doors open at 4:30pm.
