Date:

Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Location:

Zoom (RSVP Required)

Even in a highly polarized era, many Americans agree that democracy is the essence of the American experience; they just can’t agree on what democracy is. Join the Minnesota Humanities Center for a facilitated panel discussion surrounding major debates, disagreements, and practices which have animated democracy from colonial times to the present. Reflect on what democracy means to you and who it is for, as these experts on history, philosophy, and institutions of self-government discuss their insights. Engage with panelists and fellow participants by asking questions and sharing thoughts in a communal chat box.
