Sahar Bazzaz is Associate Professor in the Department of History at the College of the Holy Cross. She is the author of Forgotten Saints: History, Power and Politics in the Making of Modern Morocco (HUP, 2010) and coeditor of Imperial Geographies in Byzantine and Ottoman Space (HUP, 2013). Her works focuses on Middle Eastern, Northern African, Islamic and Imperial Encounters.
