Professors Ann Blair and Dan Smail 2014 Everett Mendelsohn Excellence in Mentoring Award Winners

The History Department would like to congratulate Professors Ann Blair and Dan Smail who were among six recipients of the 2014 Everett Mendelsohn Excellence in Mentoring Award. The Graduate Student Council which administers the award received 30 nominations this year and six of them were historians. Peter Bol, Nancy Cott, Jill Lepore, and Andrew Gordon were also nominated for the award this year.

Harvard’s Graduate Student Council founded this award in 1998. Every year graduate students submit nominations and a student-run committee makes the final selection. The 2014 Everett Mendelsohn Mentoring Awards Selection Committee was chaired by Shelley Liu, Vice President, Harvard GSC.
