Downie-Greenidge is a PhD student studying environmental history, who entered the program in the Fall of 2025. In 2022, Downie graduated with distinction from Temple University’s Honors Program, earning a Bachelor’s degree in history, and was a recipient of the Professor Edward R. and Essie Baron Memorial Award. In 2025, Downie completed her Master’s in North American Studies, focusing on the key fields of History and English, while also fulfilling her duties as a research assistant at the University of Cologne. Her research interests include waste, food, culture, women, and consumption on domestic and global scales. In her free time, she enjoys reading modern and classic literature, as well as shooting photography on film.
