Amy Simpson

Amy Simpson

Chair and Junior Faculty Coordinator

Amy joined Harvard in January 2024 after spending seven years working as the hub of administrative support at Legal Harborside in the Seaport district.

Born and raised in Boston, Amy has a deeply-rooted love for the city and its ever-changing dynamics. A graduate of Connecticut College, she holds a BA in Human Development with a minor in Psychology. During her studies, she explored her passion for reproductive rights and comprehensive education through an internship at Planned Parenthood, supporting their Students Teaching About Responsible Sexuality peer education program. Additionally, she spent three summers working at Embassy Summer, an English language program for international students. Having the opportunity to foster relationships with teenagers from across the globe and immersing them in the culture of Boston remains one of her most cherished experiences.

Outside of work, you'll find her reading, trying new baking recipes, and exploring the city with her partner, Patrick.
