Haoran Zhang
Haoran Zhang (he/him/his) is a Ph.D. student in History. He is broadly interested in the environmental, economic, and social histories of twentieth-century transpacific East Asia and the United States. His current research focuses on the sugar industries of Taiwan and Hawaiʻi during the colonial and Cold War eras.
Haoran holds a B.A. in History and Government from Wesleyan University, and an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University. Prior to graduate school, he worked in public interest litigation as a paralegal.
