Joshua Mejia
Responsibilities: coordinates online communications and marketing for the department, including weekly events emails and social media posts; facilitates live and recorded events with A/V support; aids in technology troubleshooting; manages the history department website; handles the creation of media for the department (event flyers, course advertising material, video); supports faculty and assists with the Graduate Program.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm

Josh joined the History Department in 2018. Originally from California, he studied history at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his time at UCLA, he lectured a history course on Vladimir Putin and worked on research that explores racial discrimination within universities. Outside of his core work duties at the Harvard History Department, he has also served as a research and teaching assistant at the university, and as the staff representative for the History Department's Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee. On top of his strong interest for history, Josh brings work experience from the technical, graphic, and web development sectors.
