Lauren Bohm entered the History PhD Program in 2022. She specializes in Modern Europe with an emphasis on Germany and its empire. Lauren is especially interested in personal narratives and the informal family archive, including those who act as both writers and keepers of family histories. More broadly, Lauren’s interests center around questions of self, nation, and legacy as negotiated both in German colonial and diasporic contexts as well as in the German homeland. Lauren graduated summa cum laude with a BA in History and German Studies from Cornell University in 2021.
