Luka Pavikjevikj

My name is Luka Pavikjevikj, a senior at Quincy House, pursuing a double concentration in History and Government, with a citation in German. Hailing from Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, I embarked upon my Harvard journey firmly committed to the study of history, which resulted in my completing three history courses at the department during my freshman year. My primary intellectual interests are constitutional and political history, in addition to political theory, education, and polytheistic religions. However, anchoring my studies within a specific geographical and chronological context has proven to be a Herculean task, as fascinating subjects stretch across time and place. In fact, what I cherish the most about history is its comprehensive nature: it embodies the entirety of the human experience – a richness mirrored in the flexibility of the History concentration at Harvard. Outside the classroom, I love exploring bookshops, coffee and tea places and the outdoors. I also work as a research assistant to Professor Gary Gerstle at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute and report on the Arts and Humanities Division for The Crimson. Should you wish to converse on all matters historical or delve into the intricacies of language study, I would warmly welcome the opportunity.
