Michelle joined History in 2022 after an 11-year career with the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCB), most recently (since 2015) in the role of Associate Director of Faculty Services. In this role, Michelle was responsible for managing the faculty/lab administrative support team and all faculty affairs activities for the department. Prior to joining Harvard, Michelle planned large fundraising galas at The Huntington Theatre Company and The Boston Conservatory, her alma mater. A native of Southern California, Michelle earned her B.A. from UCLA and M.M. from The Boston Conservatory, and made the Boston area her home thereafter. She enjoys spending her free time gardening, cooking, hiking the forests of New England with her husband, and laughing at the antics of their cats. Michelle is also an alum of Harvard’s Administrative Fellows Program (AFP), and spearheaded the development of MCB’s community task force on diversity, inclusion, and belonging in 2019.
