Noah Secondo joined the History Department’s Ph.D. program in 2023. His research focuses on the relationship between social movements and the law in the United States. Previously, he studied how American artists traveled around the world to advocate for racial equality, and he investigated the rise and fall of the Ku Klux Klan in the United Kingdom.

Before beginning his doctoral studies, Noah served as a policy director in the Massachusetts State Senate. He holds an A.B. in History and Romance Languages & Literatures from Harvard College, and an M.St. in Modern British History from Corpus Christi College, Oxford, where he was the Michael von Clemm Fellow.
