Taylor oversees faculty affairs for the Department of History including ladder and non-ladder faculty searches, tenure-track and non-ladder faculty reviews, faculty transition and onboarding, faculty mentoring strategic planning, departmental committee constitution, affiliate appointments, and more. She also oversees all unpaid research appointments for the Department including Fellows, Postdoctoral Fellows, Associates, and Visiting Scholars. She is the primary liaison to the Harvard International Office and handles visa coordination for unpaid research appointees. Taylor creates the annual departmental newsletter and has the pleasure of supervising the Chair and Junior Faculty Coordinator.

Taylor received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Literature and Creative Writing (with a Psychology minor) from Harvard Extension School. She previously worked in the Social Sciences Administrative Support Group at Harvard, supporting the Economics and African and African American Studies departments. She has previous experience as an editor at an academic publisher. Taylor enjoys reading and coastal life with her husband, Tim. She also had the honor of working at Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House: Home of Little Women for over 10 years and volunteers weekly at the Scituate Animal Shelter.
