Thomas Blakeslee entered the Ph.D. program in 2018. A UC Berkeley graduate, his scholarly interests include the African Diaspora in the United States, resistance movements, family histories, gender, and masculinities. Thomas’s dissertation centers on social and intellectual histories of African American fatherhood and resistance in the 19th and 20th centuries.
