Willa Stonecipher
Willa Stonecipher entered the PhD program in 2025. As a medievalist, she is particularly fascinated by monasticism and the cult of saints, especially religious women. At Harvard, she hopes to study the environmental history of female monasticism in Britain using archaeological evidence and environmental science alongside textual sources.
For her undergraduate degree, she received an MA (Hons) in Medieval History at the University of St Andrews. In 2025, she earned an MSt in Medieval History at the University of Oxford. Her MSt dissertation explored the cultural history of famine in the early Middle Ages.
