Franco Paz entered the PhD program in 2018. His research centers on the interconnected histories of race, capitalism, and the environment, with a particular focus on the 18th century Caribbean and Eastern Seaboard. 

Franco holds a BA from the State University of New York at Purchase, and an MA from the University of Vermont.
